Hawaii's Coco Ho set to shine as well...

Hossegor - Europe’s Mecca of surfing – is hosting the Girls Pro 2010, a 6-star event of the ASP WQS Tour with the best female surfers in the world. The female elite is competing at one of the planet’s finest beachbreaks from the 12th to the 16th of May 2010.

Nine of the current ASP World’s ranking top ten girls are taking part in the Girls Pro 2010, including Hawaiian shooting star Coco Ho (USA), the niece of former ASP world champion Derek Ho. In 2009, the pretty 19-year-old got fourth at the ASP world ranking and was voted Rookie of the Year.

In Hossegor, Ho is considered the biggest threat to reigning world champion Stephanie Gilmore (AUS). The 22-year-old triple world champion from the Australian Gold Coast personifies the image of surfing like no other and inspires her fans with tough athletic surf manoeuvres in high waves.

Further top participants are Pauline Ado (FRA), Nicola Atherton (AUS), Alana Blanchard (USA), Cannelle Bulars (REU), Lee-Ann Curren (FRA), Justine Dupont (FRA), Laura Enever (AUS), Sally Fitzgibbons (AUS), Paige Hareb (NZL), Felicity Palmateer (AUS) and Tyler Wright (AUS).
