Recycled materials, bamboo, hemp & organic cotton separate 'green' shops from others

A brand new concept-store has recently opened in the boardsports community; it is located in the heart of Biarritz, a place balanced between ocean and mountains. The contents are exclusively eco-friendly, either recycled or recyclable; all the furniture and decorations in the shop are second-hand and/or made of recycled/recyclable materials.

An eco-friendly concept:

All the ranges of the products we offer are more respectful of the environment than their classic counterparts available in the surf, snow & skate industry. The materials are made of organic cotton, hemp, bamboo, or recycled fabrics...

Our goal is to encourage awareness of the need for environmental protection, to reduce the ecological impact of the activities we love and to promote these values and personal well-being, making this a unique, one-of-a-kind, shop within the boardsports community.

These alternative products offer customers a new attractive option that is fashionable, sporty, and environmentally conscious. Contrary to general misconceptions, the price of such products is comparable and very much competitive with the traditional commercially available products.

Multiple commitments:

Associated with several well known organizations, as well as being enthusiastically supported and encouraged by riders and artists alike, ECHO hopes to be a place of free exchange of information, to any and to all, in regard to ecological, sustainable, and health-related topics.

The foundations of this concept have been laid by a passionate board-rider girl interested in natural health. Dating back many years, values relating to the respect of the environment, to nature and to the well-being of all peoples around the globe, have been a driving force and the principle motivation for this project.

With ECHO, we want to bring together function, involvement and pleasure by giving the board-sports community an opportunity to wear and to be equipped with environmentally friendly products while becoming individually conscious ourselves, the ultimate ECHO goal.

Several events have been planned that aim to educate and to inform the general public of environmental and wellness issues in a new and exciting way.
