While US athletes are stacking up Olympic medals this week, Colorado Ski Country USA (CSCUSA) resorts are stacking up snow totals. Steady winter storms across the state are creating weekly snow totals of Olympic proportions and robust mid-season conditions. All 22 CSCUSA resorts received new snow in recent days and more snow is expected in Ski Country through the weekend.

This week in Southwest Colorado, Silverton Mountain received 24 inches of new powder. Telluride added 10 inches to their terrain and Wolf Creek freshened up their 97-inch base with an inch. Durango is counting up the accumulation from a mega storm the resort says is dumping powder there right now.

Resorts in the Central Rockies added new snow with Monarch’s weekly total at 22 inches and counting. Nearly two feet of powder has fallen in Aspen/Snowmass during the last seven days. Crested Butte is looking at seven new inches so far this week, Sunlight at six, and Powderhorn at one inch.

Snow continues to accumulate in Northern Colorado with Steamboat reporting 19 new inches and 15 out of 19 days with new snow this month.

Along the Front Range this week, storms have brought 22 inches to Copper, more than 17 inches to Winter Park and Loveland, and over a foot of new snow to Arapahoe Basin. Five inches of frozen precipitation has piled up at Ski Cooper, and a few inches have fallen at SolVista Basin, Echo Mountain and Eldora Mountain Resort.
