Women's TTR Snowboard Tour Finale - Roxy Chicken Jam 2010
With men's TTR World Champion crowned, all eyes were on the 6Star Roxy Chicken Jam taking place at Mammoth Mountain, California from March 26th to March 27th, 2010.
This was the last major Swatch TTR Tour stop for the women and was the event that would decide who claims the women's 2009/2010 Swatch TTR World Snowboard Champion title.
Q&A with Jamie Anderson
In 2006 Jamie won the slopestyle Van’s Cup in her hometown of Tahoe, CA- but that was only the beginning for the talented young gun. In 2008 she won the TTR World Title, and in the 2009/2010 season at 19 years old, Jamie has claimed her stake in the Swatch TTR World Tour top 10. The vivacious snowboarder led the tour in 2009, notched down to second in December and currently sits in tenth, as the women’s tour is aflame with progression and riders hungry for top results. Before Jamie jets to Vancouver for the Winter Olympics, DYLA caught up with her for a quick Q&A.
Paul Mitchell Session Ends Grand Prix
After six days of sunny snowboarding, the Sprint U.S. Snowboarding Grand Prix closed up shop at Mammoth Mountain on Sunday with Jamie Anderson (South Lake Tahoe, CA) winning the Paul Mitchell Progression Session.
Under bluebird skies and balmy temperatures, Anderson led the women followed by Isabelle Lalive (Breckenridge, CO) in second and Molly Wilson (Basalt, CO) third.
Anderson threw out a frontside 3, back 180, tailpress to a 270 out of the box, ollie onto the down rail, indie over the step down, frontside 7 off the last kicker.
